Eight Weight × St. Croix Fly Fishing Giveaway
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Giveaway Sponsor and Administrator
The Eight Weight × St. Croix Fly Fishing Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored and administered by Northeast Ohio Angling LLC, doing business as Eight Weight (“Administrator”).
St. Croix Fly Fishing has provided the fly rod featured in this Giveaway and has authorized its participation and identification in the promotion. Eight Weight is providing the accompanying Jackrabbit streamers and administering the Giveaway.
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, owners, and immediate family members of the Administrator and participating promotional partners are not eligible.
Void where prohibited by law.
3. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST.
Entries submitted outside this period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
To enter the Giveaway, participants must complete all three of the following actions on Instagram during the Giveaway Period:
Follow @eightweightmedia on Instagram.
Follow @stcroixflyfishing on Instagram.
Comment “CONNECT” and tag one fishing buddy in the same comment on the official Giveaway post published by @eightweightmedia.
All three actions are required for a valid entry.
Limit one entry per person. Multiple comments or additional tags will not increase the chances of winning.
Participants may not tag themselves, fake accounts, or unrelated accounts.
No purchase, payment, or newsletter subscription is required.
Participants must maintain an Instagram account that allows the Administrator to verify eligibility. Entrants with private accounts may be asked to provide reasonable proof that they follow both required accounts.
5. Prize
One eligible winner will receive the following prize package:
One St. Croix Connect 9-foot, 8-weight fly rod, provided by St. Croix Fly Fishing.
Six Jackrabbit streamers, size 1, provided by Eight Weight.
The complete prize package will be awarded to one winner.
The prize package is nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. No substitutions are permitted except where necessary and permitted by applicable law.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
One potential winner will be selected through a random drawing from eligible entries on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The Administrator will verify that the selected entrant has completed all three required entry actions and satisfies the eligibility requirements.
The potential winner will be contacted privately through Instagram direct message from @eightweightmedia on November 15, 2026.
The potential winner must respond within 24 hours of the time the notification is sent.
If the potential winner does not respond within that period, is ineligible, or cannot satisfy verification requirements, an alternate potential winner may be selected through another random drawing.
The winner will never be required to make a purchase or provide credit card information to claim the prize.
The Administrator is not obligated to publicly announce the winner on Instagram, subject to applicable legal disclosure requirements.
Once the prize has been claimed, the official Giveaway post may be updated to indicate that the Giveaway has closed and a winner has been selected.
7. Prize Delivery
The complete prize package will be packaged and shipped by Eight Weight to the confirmed winner.
Shipping will be provided at no cost to the winner within the 50 United States and District of Columbia.
The winner must provide a valid shipping address within the eligible geographic area.
Eight Weight will make reasonable efforts to ensure safe and timely delivery but is not responsible for shipping delays or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Any applicable taxes associated with receiving the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
8. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.
9. General Conditions
The Administrator reserves the right to disqualify fraudulent, automated, duplicate, or otherwise ineligible entries.
The Administrator may suspend, modify, or cancel the Giveaway if fraud, technical failures, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control compromise the integrity or administration of the promotion, subject to applicable law.
The Administrator will maintain reasonable records of the winner-selection process and prize fulfillment.
By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and to the Administrator's decisions regarding the Giveaway, subject to applicable law.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected from the selected winner will be used solely for eligibility verification, winner notification, prize fulfillment, and legally required administration.
Entering the Giveaway does not subscribe participants to Eight Weight's newsletter or other marketing communications.
Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
11. Instagram Disclaimer and Release
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
By participating in this Giveaway, each entrant fully releases Instagram from liability arising out of or related to the Giveaway, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Participants acknowledge that they are providing their entries to the Administrator and not to Instagram.
12. Winner Information
Following completion of the Giveaway, information identifying the confirmed winner may be requested through the contact form below, subject to applicable law and reasonable privacy protections.
The Administrator is not required to publish the winner's identity on Instagram except where legally required.
